Mission

Purpose / Summary:

The Global Internal Auditor trainee reports to the EMEA Global Internal Audit head

The team is formed of people coming from various professional backgrounds: operations, finance, supply chain and quality, IT and consulting.

Global Internal Audit is focused on:
•Main risks and weaknesses including organization and strategic subjects
•Compliance and the respect of our Principles of Responsibility
•All operational processes and cycles (Sales & marketing, R&D, Purchasing, Projects & Services, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics, HR & Control Environment, IT and Finance).



The Global Internal Auditor trainee may participate in 4 types of audits (assessing diverse processes and cycles):
•Transversal Risks (Major risks or threats at Group level)
•Mid-size and small Entities
•Process audits in large countries
•Post acquisition

The objectives of the audits are to:
•Assess the level of internal control within Schneider Electric
•Identify areas where performance can be improved
•Measure how operational risks are monitored and mitigated
•Follow up the implementation of audit action plans

Objectives / Essential functions:

When member of an audit, the Global Internal Auditor trainee is called “Team Member” and is in charge of:
•conducting interviews, tests, data analysis in order to identify root causes of gaps Vs expectations, assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes
•proposing recommendations to auditees in order to correct inefficiencies or to further improve efficiency
•presenting those recommendations to local management and Senior Management

Working Environment:

The Global Internal Auditors trainees travel worldwide approximately 50 to 55% of their time. They perform between 3 and 4 audit missions during a 6-month assignment, each of them for a duration of 3 to 4 weeks on-site.

They will have to work in various cultural environments.

English, both written & spoken, is the working language.



Organizational reporting:

The Global Internal Auditor trainee reports to the EMEA Global Internal Audit & Control head, who reports to the Senior Vice President Global Internal Audit & Control.



Internal relationships:

The Global Internal Auditor will have contacts with all levels of the organization worldwide, including, eventually, Executive Committee members.

Diplôme visé : Ingénieur

Spécialité : Ecole de Commerce / management school

Double diplôme with Engineering school is a plus but not mandatory

General Competencies:
•Analytical thinking
•Synthetic skills
•Business oriented (ability to understand the audit context)
•Excellent communication & presentation skills
•Excellent english level, both written and speaking
•Relationship management
•Teamwork and cooperation
•Mastering another language (Chinese Mandarin, Arabic, French, Hindi, Russian, Portuguese,

Spanish, German) would be a big plus.
